Akinlolu Akinyele has nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry with his expertise cutting across business development, strategic planning, portfolio management, underwriting, and stakeholder management.

Akinlolu joined Coronation Life Assurance from AXA Nigeria where he started his career nearly two decades ago, and rose to become a Senior Executive and Head, of the company’s Oil & Gas, Aviation, and Emerging Corporates Business practice with the responsibility for managing both commercial life and general business relationships. His time at AXA Nigeria included a brief stint at AXA Regional Office in Madrid where he worked closely with other colleagues from across the globe to develop the groups’ Oil & Gas business across Africa, South America and the Middle East. He also led the SME Business Strategic Development Project amongst other projects.

He holds a  Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan, and an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
